5) JJBA/Bear/Papa Lowe Birthday Weekend
This weekend was one of the best in 2012. On the final weekend in January of 2012, we had a blowout birthday bonanza. That Friday night was the celebration of the births of JJBA and Cadet Bear (Chicken and Waffles). The party was at 57th street and boy was it a good time. The icing on the cake was when Sheenan arrived. First of all he was uninvited, he ate up all the food, and then he was complaining on why he did not have any diet coke. Calm down Kevin and have some alcohol. Saturday night was a surprise birthday party for my dad. It was a great time with all the Tybee locals stopping by, but Slic made it interesting when he started doing elbow drops in front of my grandparents. I recall things getting interesting with a sweater later that night at Tybee Tymes.
4) Alumni Game vs. SCPS
I'm going to make this short and sweet. I have not seen so many fans at Memorial Stadium since the 90's. Also, 21-3!!
3) St. Patrick's Day
Oh the Granddaddy of them all. It is by far the greatest day every year. Its the only day of year that you run into people you do not get along and everyone is very friendly to each other. The highlight of the day is when JJBA, Mouse and myself were sitting at the KofC waiting on the people to get back from the Hibernian's Banquet. Well Kevin was one of the first to show up. He gave JJBA a wet willie and then turn to Mouse and myself and said, "Hey! I just gave Jack a wet willie!"
2) The Cocktail Party.
The Dawgs played sloppy the week before but still managed a victory over the Wildcats. Everybody was nervous about the game, and all media was picking then the #2 ranked gators to beat UGA. I will be honest and say that I thought we were going to lose. The Dawgs had not one back to back games at the Cocktail Party since the 80's. That Friday I got to urge to buy some mason jars for Saturday's celebration. P-Mac was the first to arrive at Mayfair and suggested I wear the red shirt. The food was great, the company was awesome, and victory over the lizards was so sweet. Dawgs on top!
1) July 3rd
Double pledge pours, Tybee nights, "I have a gun", and riots on 16th street. Enough said!
This is an early favorite for post of the year.
